"JUST ADD WATER" to our Daddy Cakes® Sensuous Strawberry Sensations, Blueberry Bonanza Blast or Better Batter Buttermilk baking mixes.  Daddy Cakes mixes are versatile and can be used for many recipes that reach well beyond pancakes, waffles, cakes, cupcakes, cobblers, muffins, scones, and more. Our Daddy Cakes mixes are incredibly delicious and versatile all purpose baking mixes that are a great foundation for such a wide variety of recipes.

DADDY CAKES® CUPCAKES
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: Approx. 15-20 minutes

Pre-heat oven to 350
To make cupcakes, just use non-stick cupcake liners to ensure that the cupcakes come out of the pan real easy.  
Just add water (approx. 2 1/4 cups) to the 2 8oz pouches of Daddy Cakes mix till it's a nice pourable consistency.
Pour into cupcake liner about three quarters of the way full
Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes (check with toothpick)  

You can even make simple homemade vanilla icing and added heavy whipping cream if desired.

Our Daddy Cakes® cupcakes bake up into nice, light, and fluffy cupcakes with the perfect domed top.  


***NOTE:  For additional flavors of cakes, and cupcakes, you can also use any of our five baking mixes in the soft pouches.  If you use the Daddy Cakes® soft pouch mixes, add two eggs and 1/4 cup of vegetable oil to the mix for as the cake will bake into a lighter and fluffier consistency.  Our Vivacious Vanilla, Sinful Cinnamon, and Glamorous Gingerbread Daddy Cakes® mixes are all perfectly suited for this.
SINFUL CINNAMON APPLE COBBLER

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: Approx. 45 minutes


**NOTE: Fresh Peaches can also be substituted for the apples for a delicious Cinnamon Peach Cobbler recipe.

Ingredient List:
1 lb of Daddy Cakes® Sinful Cinnamon Pancake & Waffle Mix

2 eggs

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 1/2 cups water

1 cup pure maple syrup

1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)

Approx 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon

2 Fiji Apples (or substitute with your own favorite)

9x13 baking dish
Preheat oven to 350

In a mixing bowl, mix together Daddy Cakes Sinful Cinnamon Mix with eggs, oil, and water. Set aside.

In the 9x13 baking dish, pour 1 cup of Pure Maple Syrup and combine with your 1/2 cup of melted butter. 


Peel, core, and thinly slice your apples and place apple slices in mixture of syrup and butter in baking dish.


Sprinkle Cinnamon over apple slices


Pour the Daddy Cakes Sinful Cinnamon Mix evenly over the top.

Bake in oven at 350 for approximately 40 minutes or until the cake is done.

DADDY CAKES® VANILLA BANANA FOSTERS COBBLER

A deliciously yummy personal favorite (and it is SO easy)!

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: Approx. 45 minutes

Ingredients:
1 lb of Daddy Cakes Vivacious Vanilla Pancake & Waffle Mix
2 eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup pure maple syrup
1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)
2 Large Bananas
9x13 baking dish

**Preheat oven to 350
**In a mixing bowl, mix together Daddy Cakes Vivacious Vanilla Mix with eggs, oil, and water. Set aside.
**In the 9x13 baking dish, pour 1 cup of Pure Maple Syrup and combine with your 1/2 cup of melted butter.  
**Peel then slice your bananas and place banana slices in mixture of syrup and butter in baking dish.
**Pour the Daddy Cakes Vivacious Vanilla batter evenly over the top.

IT’s THAT EASY!

Bake in oven at 350 for approximately 40 minutes or until the cake is done.
Here's a fun and great new idea for today or tomorrows breakfast, brunch, snack, lunch or dinner...  Stuff your Daddy Cakes® with breakfast sausage!

Cook Time: A couple of minutes each

Ingredients:
It's easy to do:
First cook your sausage and pat off any grease with a paper towel and let cool for a couple minutes.  
Preheat your skillet to 375-385 and spray with non stick spray.  
Dip your sausages into some Daddy Cakes® Batter (we used the Better Batter Buttermilk) and cook just over a minute on each side, until you get the nice golden brown coloring.  

Serve with some maple syrup for dipping.
(Extras can be frozen and reheated to be enjoyed on another day)

Also try making these with Daddy Cakes® Blueberry Bonanza Blast as the wild Maine Blueberries really are tasty with the sausage.
Daddy Cakes® Double Criminal Chocolate Chip Blondies! Daddy Cakes® Vanilla Peach Clafouti

DADDY CAKES DOUBLE CRIMINAL CHOCOLATE CHIP BLONDIES

We prepared these at BLOOMINGDALE's second largest store in the "World Famous South Coast Plaza" when they invited us in for to do a cooking demonstration of Daddy Cakes® mixes.

This is a wonderful dessert that is lighter than a traditional brownie in sweetness and density.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 22 -27 minutes

~ Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

Ingredients:
~ In a mixing bowl, Mix:
1 - 1lb soft pouch of Daddy Cakes® Criminal Chocolate Chip Mix
3/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
3 Eggs
1/2 Cup Crushed Walnuts or Pecans
1/2 Cup White Chocolate Chips
1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips

Optional Ingredients that you can add if you like:
~ Shredded Coconut, 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

~ Pour batter into a 7x11 Pyrex dish and bake at 350 for 22 - 27 minutes or until done.
Let them cool.
DADDY CAKES VANILLA PEACH CLAFOUTI

A clafouti is a traditional French custard cake that originated in Limousin, France. Often studded with fruit, the dessert is best served warm, dusted with powdered sugar and, perhaps, sprinkled with a bit of fruit brandy. There are as many variations of clafouti as there are cooks. This a versatile and fantastic dessert.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:

   * 1 16 oz soft pouch of Daddy Cakes® Vivacious Vanilla Mix
   * 2 1/4 cups water
   * 4 cups fresh sliced Peaches
   * 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar (powdered)

Preparation:

Preheat an oven to 350F. Butter a 9-inch by 9-inch square baking dish or a 9-inch deep-dish pie round with the softened butter.

In a large bowl, whisk together ingredients until it forms a smooth, thin batter. Spread 3/4 cup of the batter onto the bottom of the prepared baking dish and bake it for 2-4 minutes. Watch the batter closely and remove it before it cooks through completely. It should just start to thicken and set when it is removed from the oven.

Transfer the dish to a heatproof surface and arrange the strawberries over the hot batter. Pour the remaining batter over the peaches and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Sprinkle the confectioners’ sugar over the finished Peach Clafouti and serve it warm.  (For pure decadence top with some whipped cream)

This Peach Clafouti recipe makes 8 servings.

DADDY CAKES DOUBLE STRAWBERRY CLAFOUTI

We prepared this wonderful dessert at the Orange County Super Fair when we were invited to do a cooking demonstration live and on stage.

Daddy Cakes® was the featured guest on "Food & Dining with Mario and Amy" on March 21 on AM830 Radio, during which television and radio personality Mario Martinoli and wife, Amy, host a show that can best be described as one of the most enduring examples of truly entertaining “food talk.”

Ingredients:

   * 2 8 oz pouches of Sensuous Strawberry Mix
   * 2 1/4 cups water
   * 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar (powdered)

Preparation:

Preheat an oven to 350F.
Butter a loaf pan

In a mixing bowl, blend together the mix and water until it forms a smooth batter.
Pour the batter evenly into loaf pan
Place in oven and back for about 45-55 minutes or until done

Once done, remove from oven.

Sprinkle the confectioners’ sugar over the top and serve it warm.

This Strawberry Pound Cake recipe makes about 8 servings.
