This syrup is a classic treat with a delightful twist, it’s best served on pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, or hot buttered biscuits.

This syrup is noticeably thicker than our "liquid gold" Grade A Pure Maple Syrup and at nearly half the price.  Packaged in the same traditional jug handled bottle, we make this syrup with the high regard for those who prefer the delicious flavor of maple with the added thickness in our Maple & Butter Syrup.

We take the ripest whole wild blueberries and blend together this old family recipe (that has passed down through several generations) and cook it in an open kettle. The result is a scrumptious syrup that tastes more like pourable preserves.

When we were kids we lived in the country and would travel into the woods to find berry patches all around. Timing was everything - we had to get there at just the right time because when the fruit was perfectly ripe we would have to get to it before the birds, bears, and other animals devoured the entire patch of berries. Once we filled our buckets we would return home and Mom would cook & bottle the berries into delicious preserves like Jams, Jellies, and Syrups. Our home kitchen would be filled with steam scented in the smell of fresh berries and fruit. At the time, we had no idea how truly special those moments were (probably because it was SO darn much work and time trying to get it all done to perfection). We had a huge cellar next to our home that we would store Mom's finished yummies in and when friends and family visit, they were frequently treated to a box full of homemade jellies and syrups. Today, it's still not too different - we still do all the work and friends & family get to enjoy the fruits of our labor without spending hours & hours picking berries, getting stained finger tips & dying the kitchen towels with indistinguishable patterns.

Cinnamon, Allspice, and nutmeg are cooked with delicious apples and natural sweeteners to make the appetizing new Apple Butter & Cinnamon Syrup from Daddy Cakes®. Sure, it is very similar to what Grandma made - it takes you right back to the ABC's (Apple, Butter, Cinnamon).  This old fashioned favorite makes a great topping for Daddy Cakes® Sinful Cinnamon Pancakes or Waffles for breakfast.  Or try some on your vanilla ice cream.  Simply delicious.

APPLE BUTTER & CINNAMON INGREDIENTS:
Glucose Syrup, Apples, Cane Sugar, Brown Sugar, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Apple Cider, Spices.

 

DADDY CAKES® APPLE GLAZED HAM RECIPE::

You'll need:
1 medium ham (10-12 lbs)
1 bottle Apple Butter Syrup
2 ounces no sugar added apple juice
2 ounces water

Preheat your oven to 350°.
Place your ham in a deep, foil lined pan & glaze with 1/2 the bottle of Daddy Cakes® Apple Butter & Cinnamon Syrup.
Add the apple juice & water to the bottom of the pan & bake for 1 hour, 15 minutes.
Remove ham & evenly coat with remaining syrup; bake for another 1 hour, 15 minutes.
Baste with juice from bottom of pan, cut & serve.

Cook times may vary by oven.
